Hand-poured in-house in small batches using simple, clean ingredients – 100% soy wax, lead-free cotton wicking, and phthalate-free fragrances blended with pure essential oils. No additives, enhancers, colorants, filler waxes, phthalates and petrochemicals added. All ingredients are mindfully sourced in the USA and are vegan and cruelty-free.

PLEASE READ: Before each lighting (including your first burn session), it is important that you TRIM THE CANDLE WICK TO ABOUT 1/4" IN HEIGHT for a clean, safe and even burning experience. This will prevent a large flame from developing and will prevent smoking. Trimming the wick as recommended will also help extend the life of your candle. Do not burn candle for more than 3 hours at a time. Additionally, place your candle on a stable surface away from drafts, and away from children and pets. Do not touch a burning candle and allow to cool completely after extinguishing prior to handling.

The thick glass make for terrific drinking glasses after the candle has been all used up just clean well and in the Summer they go in the freezer so your drink stays frosty cold till the last drop and environmentally wonderful too because your using the entire piece. The packaging container I make a slit in the top and use as a coin bank my kids think it's pretty cool too! Thanks Makana

I first found Makana candles at a boutique in San Diego. One time they were out of stock, so I began ordering online. Love everything about the products and the company. Sea Salt is my latest favorite, but I love the Neroli Blossom and Pikake Jasmine too! Since they are for me, I don’t buy the nicely packaged ones, but definitely recommend them for gifts.
